CBCA NSW Announces Winner of 2021 Cottesloe Mentorship
CBCA NSW is delighted to announce Bryoni Trezise as the winner of the 2021 Cottesloe Mentorship and the Charlotte Waring Certificate for her debut middle grade novel This is the Sound of Theodora Itch. She receives the mentorship from the well-known and respected editor, Cathie Tasker. Congratulations Bryoni!
“Theodora Itch was born wild. But she’s been a bit angry and even more naughty since Pappou died and mum turned strange. When Theodora learns that her mother, Joy, plans to sell her grandfather’s old house, her grief runs rampant. An adventurous journey follows where Theodora discovers the grit of her own truly special heart.”

The two runners up are Kirsten Ealand for Periwether Pemberton and Jemima Parker for Daisy and the Sandwich Disaster, both of which are Picture Book manuscripts. They receive support from Fremantle Press.
